Gadgets
I thought I had seen it all. From gadgets that will core a pineapple, to the salad shooter, Americans will buy almost anything. Now I just saw that you can buy a blackhead remover. Yes, it sounds gross. But most of us get these types of blemishes from time to time. Maybe this will end our skin issues - or maybe it won't. All I know is that we have enough gadgets around here to last a lifetime!

Cool New Sink
We really love our new house. Having the stairs has really helped Cameron get stronger, and we also love being on the corner lot. One thing that we would like to change however, is the sink in our half bathroom. I found some really cool farmhouse sinks that are made of travertine that would really make it look more modern. My wife wants to paint (everywhere) but first I want to pick out the new sink so that we can try to match one of the colors in it to the walls.
Business Trips
With my new job, I haven't been able to take any business trips lately. It's always fun to get to travel to a new city. Sometimes my wife was able to travel with me, and all we would have to pay for is her extra flight. I might be able to go to San Francisco later in the year. The conference might also be in San Diego, and if so, I found a great San Diego hotel that would be perfect. It is beautiful there in the summer.
Cam's New Tricks
I am really excited about all the new things Cameron has started doing. He can take one to three steps at a time now, and he can almost stand up on his own from the floor now. His little legs are getting stronger and stronger by the day. All of the weights he's wearing around have really helped with adding muscle mass to his legs. I really need to remember to use the camcorder every once in a while!

Going Out of Business Sales
One of the only good things that goes along with this recession are the great deals to be had by consumers. I have seen many stores offering deep discounts on things that I am planning to buy. I really need a new lawnmower as soon as possible. I've been scanning the Sale ads to find something reasonable. I'd like to get another self propelled mower that is in the $300 range. My old one lasted about fifteen years, so I'm not complaining.

Insurance Today
Have you noticed how many types of insurance you actually need these days? I was just looking into getting a term life insurance online quote. Between all the policies we have on the house, cars, etc. and then all the medical insurance we carry, I wonder how much money we are actually spending "just in case". Oh well, I guess it really isn't an option. If something devastating occurs you want to be prepared for your family.
Wanna Get Away?
I am so looking forward to this summer. We are probably going to go on our first real family vacation. We would love to bring Cameron to Disney World eventually. I found some really fantastic deals on Orlando vacations recently. But this year, we will probably head for Pensacola again. We can drive there, and it is just gorgeous! My wife and I really enjoyed our trip there two years ago.
Spring Has Sprung
I love it when spring finally rolls around. This past weekend, we got out in the yard and remulched all the flower beds, planted new shrubs, and pulled all the weeds. I went to the garden center in our area and found lots of things to spruce up our yard. Next weekend I'll mow the grass. I ran out of time last weekend. I also need to find some spring plungers.
